Our Trip to London Part One

We had tickets for the Community Shield on August 7th at Wembley so decided to make a day of it.  Madison had been asking for a long time if we could go to London and this seemed the perfect opportunity.

We left a little after 8 and after filling the car with diesel, were on our way by 8.30am.  We arrived at the car park at Wembley (£35! pre-paid) at 10am and quickly got out and went for our first look at Wembley.

They had a play area near the designer shopping area
Which the girls played in for a while whilst I went to Pret for a bacon, tomato and these croissant.

We took pictures outside a quiet Wembley

A real contrast to when we returned later!  We walked down 'Wembley Way' to Wembley Park station and bought our tickets.  £12.10 each for Phil and I.  We walked down to the platform for the Jubilee line and a train pulled up as we got to the bottom of the stairs.  We jumped straight on and sat down.

We went down to Waterloo and got off there.  We walked over to see the London Eye.
And took some photos looking over the river.

We walked over the bridge and stopped for more photos.

Before continuing over to see Big Ben up close

By the time we walked over, it was only a couple of minutes to 12 so we waited to hear the bongs.

Madison thought it was going to be loud but it wasn't bad at all.  It was a lot quieter than i was expecting it to be.

I'm going to leave this here, will post the next part soon.
